About Us
Since opening its doors in 2004, the McGrath Academy of Irish Dance has made it our mission to teach excellence in technique and form. Our instructors go the extra mile in getting each student to reach their highest goals with patience, dedication and choreography that stands out.
McGrath Academy of Irish Dance was started in the 1970’s by Lauren McGrath’s mother, Jeanne McGrath Pearson, a certified Irish dance teacher (TCRG). The academy was reopened in 2004 by her daughter, and current owner, Lauren McGrath Dutton. With over 90 students and seven locations throughout Northern Virginia and Maryland, Lauren has been growing her business and spreading her expertise in Irish dance
